They’ll send shivers down your spine, bring back fond memories, and encourage you to rediscover the music you love. Above all, they capture the soul of the recording, bringing a new intimacy and intensity to your listening experience.
Within the below video, Philip Swift (Managing Director) provides an overview of the brand and explains the key differences between the A-Line, D-Line and Classic loudspeakers.
FROM SHELF / STAND MOUNT TO FLOORSTANDING
The Spendor Classic 4/5 loudspeaker is the most charming and beautifully balanced sounding small Spendor Classic ever. A very compact shelf or stand mount, the Classic 4/5 is a multi-talented loudspeaker, it delivers low frequencies with a remarkable sense of depth and extension and is notably free from the artificial brightness and over-blown bass which characterises the sound of most modern speakers.
Stepping up with the in-house designed and manufactured EP77 180mm drive unit, the Classic 3/1 is the perfect size for nearfield listening where you want to retain the smooth articulate performance of the Classic 4/5 but want to add bass depth and scale. A versatile dedicated stand-mount design that will work in a smaller room.
Still a two-way design but moving up to a 200mm Spendor drive unit, the easy going nature of the Classic 2/3 draws you into the music in a natural and unfatiguing manner. The larger bass driver offers greater punch and weight but never at the expense of finesse. Perfect for mid-sized rooms.
Moving to a dedicated three-way design the Classic 1/2 has a lineage that can be traced back to the legendary Spendor BC1 that started it all in the late 1960s. Using the very latest materials and manufacturing techniques this model delivers a performance however that is no imitation product. As with all the Classic models this is available in a real wood cherry or walnut veneer.
The Classic 100 has a distinctive form that many music lovers still associate fondly with the Spendor BC3 of the 1970s. Like all the modern Classic models however, there is not one single component that has been carried over from those early iconic products. The modern 310mm paper/Kevlar bass unit compliments the 180mm midrange and 22mm tweeter to deliver clarity and transparency but with warmth and charm.
The Classic 200 adds another 310mm paper/Kevlar bass driver to the 100 configuration but in a taller cabinet. It delivers an effortless, highly dynamic performance whilst still remaining completely in control whatever the listening levels. This ability is unique and combined with a silky smooth tonal balance and the famous Spendor midrange, you have a loudspeaker that can do it all.
CLASSIC 100 & 200 Ti
Classic 100 Ti
Taking all the attributes of the standard Classic 100 and adding a modern titanium finish to the front baffle, creates a design that transcends time and fashion. When you walk into your listening room, your eyes will always be drawn to these striking products. With the same rich, smooth powerful performance as the standard Classic 100, this loudspeaker really captures the spirit of the performance.
Classic 200 Ti
Adding the luxurious titanium baffle to the Classic 200 combines stunning performance with a form factor that can slot into many modern rooms and audio systems with ease. An incredible all-rounder that is huge fun to listen to, the Classic 200 Ti will encourage you to rediscover the music you love.
The Spendor Classic Stand has been created to complement the design methodology of the Spendor Classic loudspeaker cabinets. Supported directly on four high grade solid stainless-steel pillars positioned right in the corners of the base of the cabinet, the loudspeaker remains stable, with the lower panel free to work as intended.
